The LG G6 is one of the company’s most popular flagship ever, thanks to the all new design, 18 by 9 screen ratio, improved dual rear cameras and a new display with curved corners. Together with the Galaxy S8, the LG G6 is the phone that tries to be different from other phones.
It has dual 13 MP cameras on the back, one with f/1.8 aperture and phase detection AF and the other one with f/2.4 aperture with no auto focus. It has great lenses, and it also has a great camera app to take advantage of this. The LG G6 camera has many features which helps users to take high-quality images.
This camera app can be installed on the LG G5 as well. The LG G5 has the same dual rear camera setup just like its bigger brother, so the camera app works on it just as well. If you have the older LG G5, take a look below to learn how to install the LG G6 camera app.
How to install LG G6 camera app on LG G5
A developer over at XDA has managed to port the LG G6 camera app to the LG G5. Once installed, it works perfectly well with no issues. But there are a few things to do before you can be able to install the app.
Firstly, the developer who has created the port is the developer of Fulmics, a custom ROM for the LG G5. It is based on LG’s stock UI and offers more features, options and better performance.
This means that in order to flash the camera app, you will need to have Fulmics installed as well, as the app is available only with this build at the moment.
How To Install
- If you haven’t already, download and flash Fulmics custom ROM on your phone.
- Turn off your phone and go to recovery mode.
- There, go to Install Zip, find the camera package and swipe to flash it.
- Restart your phone.
Wait for the phone to boot up. Go to the app drawer and launch the camera app. You will notice the new LG G6 camera UI.
