Fix OnePlus X Low Light Video Recording Issue With Camera Patch (Low FPS)

The OnePlus X is a budget phone which delivers the best specifications for its price range. When everyone thought that OnePlus couldn’t release a cheaper phone than the OnePlus One and OnePlus Two, the OnePlus X amazed the media.

For just $249.00, the phone comes with a Full HD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, Dual SIM capabilities, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset which consists of a quad-core CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. It has 3 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage expendable up to 128 GB via microSD card, 13 MP main camera and 8 MP front camera. The battery is no slouch either coming at 2525 mAh. Not bad for that kind of price tag.

Sometimes, a phone that good for a price that low is too good to be true. And those users who might be suffering from low FPS issues while video recording on low light might think so. A few users have reported this specific issue with their phones. For some reason, the OnePlus X starts slowing down when recording video in low light.

The recorded video looks laggy and for most users is not worth watching. Some think the OnePlus X hardware is not powerful enough and some think it is a software problem. Senior member Loureiro announced that it was a software problem and it could be fixed. He has released a patch which fixes the low performance problem of the rear and front camera of the OnePlus X.
