Android 5.0 didn’t have an official name until Google confirmed that it would be called Lollipop a few days ago. Until that day, it was simply called Android L. Google also announced two new Nexus devices, the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.
Android 5.0 Lollipop will be released near the end of this year and the list of devices waiting to be updated is very long. Those times when only Nexus devices receive the latest Android update are gone.
Apart from Nexus devices like the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Google Play Edition handsets, many other branded phones will receive Android 5.0 Lollipop. Each manufacturer has released its own list of devices that are going to receive the Lollipop updates. Among these devices, the first ones that are going to get it are the Sony Xperia Z3, Z2, HTC One M8, Motorola Moto X and Moto G and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 along the Galaxy S5.
But until you get the update on your phone and enjoy all the new software goodies, you have to wait. Meanwhile, you can enjoy some features of Lollipop. A Google Plus user has uploaded and shared two official Android 5.0 Lollipop wallpapers.
The first wallpaper is a picture of the earth photographed by NASA satellites and the second wallpaper is an abstract picture where the blue color is dominant with yellow accents.
One of the biggest features of 5.0 Lollipop is the new Material Design user interface which makes every app looks more professional and cleaner. Check out all Material Design applications that you can download right now.
