Good news everybody! The Nexus 9 is the longest lasting Android tablet when it comes to battery life. Whenever a person is about to buy a new device, be it a smartphone or a tablet, he should carefully check the specifications of the device.
When it comes to processing power, basically all high-end Android devices are very fast with powerful Snapdragon and Tegra K1 chipsets, 2 GB and 3 GB RAM, high-resolution displays and all those other goodies.

But, the biggest thing you should check is the battery life. No matter how fast a device is, if it has bad battery life than it is not a good phone. As we have seen in the past, Nexus devices haven’t had long-lasting batteries.
The Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 have all suffered from poor battery life. How does the brand new HTC Google Nexus 9 stands out compared to other flagship phones and tablets?
Using a custom created script which aims to imitate real life phone usage, the Nexus 9 managed to get 9 hours and 24 minutes. That is the best score for any device ever.
In comparison, the newly released Apple iPad Air 2 got 7 hours and 27 minutes, exactly 2 hours less. The iPad Mini 3 fares much worse scoring 6 hours and 53 minutes. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is closer with 8 hours and 58 minutes.

This is very surprising considering that the Nexus 9 has a much smaller battery than the iPad Air 2. This means that the Tegra K1 chipset is very power efficient and does a great job at saving battery juice.
