slow not charging galaxy note 4 fix

Recently, one of the most reported problem is Galaxy Note 4 slow charging battery issue. Even though usually it takes 1.5 hours for the phone to charge, users have reported that their devices take more than 2 hours to do the same thing.

Slow charging problem on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is very serious because the phone doesn’t change very quickly, and sometimes the battery drains instead of increasing. If you are experiencing slow charging or not charging issue on the Galaxy Note 4, here are some possible fixes.

Disable bloat ware

Bloat ware is a very common term on Android devices and especially on Samsung Galaxy phones. Galaxy phones come with Touchwiz firmware which has a lot of pre-installed applications that not many people use. These apps are usually from carriers and frequently stress the processor. When the processor is fully loaded, it drains battery quickly and will increase charging time.

Calibrate Samsung Galaxy Note 4 battery

If the battery is charged many times a day, it can lose its original capacity and charging time. In order to fix this, you need to calibrate the battery. To calibrate the battery, you can either use Battery calibration app or boot into Recovery and wipe cache.

The real fix in MOST cases! (related to slow charging or not activating fast charging)
Everything decribed above is relating to discharge, not slow charging so let me give a helping hand here…
This works with ANY portable device.
Anytime your phone, Ipad, Notebook, Laptop, Phone or whatever get really low on battery. Your phone draws more power from the charger cable trying to keep it charged, causing major heat in the phone and even more current draw from the charger cable.
Like those times when you realize your at a low percent and continue using your phone while its plugged in anyways because you have games to play or heavier apps to use like Navigator, while its plugged into the car.
The high current draw causes alot of heat in the cable and triggers a safety deal within the cable, limiting the current draw to prevent overheating damage to any device, causing about a 80% reduction in charging current (or speed). I’ve even seen them not charge at all anymore if they got really hot and fixed all these issues just by putting the charger cable in the fridge or freezer for about 30 mins.
This will reset the cable to work properly again.
This actually just happened on my new galaxy note edge just a couple hours ago and had to do this to get the fast charging back again.
    Cheers everyone!
