If you have used a Galaxy device before, you might be familiar with this article. If not, go ahead learn how to take a screenshot.

How To Take a Screenshot on the Google Pixel 6

Google has included three different methods that users can use to take a screenshot on the Pixel 6. The first method, which is also the most popular one, is the traditional way of pressing two hardware keys at the same time. The two other methods include Google’s own software to make it even easier.

1. Pixel 6 Screenshot – Hardware Keys

The first method to take a screenshot on your Pixel 6 is to use the physical keys located on the side of the phone. This is the traditional method that is used the most.

  1. Grab your phone and go to the screen that you want to screenshot.
  2. Press the power button and volume down button at the same time until a screenshot is taken
  3. The screenshot image will be saved in your phone’s gallery app, inside the Screenshots folder.

2. Pixel 6 Screenshot – Gesture Navigation

If for some reason the first method does not work due to broken buttons or some other issue, then you take a screenshot on your Pixel 6 using the Gesture Navigation feature. This is Google’s solution and does not require any hardware button.

Gesture navigation:

    1. From the bottom of the screen, swipe up and hold.
    2. Choose an open app to screenshot.
    3. Tap Screenshot.

3-button navigation:

    1. Tap Overview.
    2.  Choose an open app to screenshot.
    3. Tap Screenshot.

These are some ways you can take a screenshot on the Google Pixel 6. It is nice of Google to include a few software features to be able to take screenshots when the hardware buttons are broken. Do you have any other ways to take a screen capture? Let us know below.

  1. There is another way. In my opinion, on a Google pixel 6/6 pro, that’s the best way. Open setting/system/gestures/quick tap. Enjoy.
