Before you actually go ahead and download the firmware, first try and see if One UI 3.1 is available as an over-the-air update on your phone. To do so, go to Settings -> Software Update -> Check for updates. Installing OTA updates is the fastest and easiest way because you do not need any third-party tools. However, Samsung releases OTA updates based on regions, and as a result, you might not get the update for a few weeks.

As a solution for this, you can manually download the official Android 11 firmware and flash it on your Galaxy A51. For this, you will need Frija. This is a tool with which you can download firmware files directly from Samsung’s servers. Here’s how.

  1. First, download the Frija download tool and extract it.
  2. Take note of your phone’s model number. If you do not know it, go to Settings -> About Phone. Remember the model number displayed on the screen.
  3. Open Frija, and enter the model number in the Model field.
  4. Now you need to enter the CSC code (region code). This is different for every region. For example, it is DBT for Germany, XEF for France, PHE for Spain, XEO for Poland, INS for India, BTU for the United Kingdom, and so on.
  5. Click on Check Update. The tool will search for the latest firmware files and will display the latest ones.
  6. Tap on Download. This will download the selected firmware on your computer.
