Sony is preparing its latest device, the Sony Xperia ZR to make it available for the retails. The Sony Xperia ZR is said to be more water and dust resistant than its brother, the Sony Xperia Z.
According to Xperia blog, Sony Xperia will feature a 4.6-inch (1280 x 720) LCD display, a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm chipset S4 Pro (hopefully it will be the Snapdragon 600 version), 2GB of RAM, 13 MP Exmor sensor RS, 8GB of internal storage plus MicroSD and a 2300mAh battery.
Xperia ZR will also be water and dust resistant, IP55/IP58 certified wich means more water and dust resistant than Xperia Z. So it can be merged up to 1.5 meters underwater for 30 minutes.The design of the device will be more Xperia ZL alike rather than Xperia Z aloke.It will be also thick(about 10mm and will weight about 140g). Sounds like a great piece of kit. I am a tradesman and need dust and moisture protection on my smart phone. The ZR will be on my Xmas list!
It is an interesting device indeed. Being more dust and waterproof than Xperia Z it really looks promising
