[Tutorial]How to root the Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung’s flagship device for 2013, Samsung Galaxy S4 is available on the retail stores for only 1 day and it has already been rooted. The person who made this possible is the same guy which has also unlocked the bootloader of the Motorola Droid RAZR, RAZR MAXX, RAZR M and Atrix HD and now the Samsung Galaxy S4’s.

NOTE:This root version will work only with the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S4 which is being sold in the UK and US

The root process is very simple but since it does not have a recovery, there is no way to unbrick the device is something wrong happens.

Download the exploit package here and follow the instructions below:

1.Extract the entire contents of the zip file.

2.If you are using Windows, be sure that you have installed the latest Samsung USB drivers available for your phone.

3.Activate USB Debugging mode is enabled on your device.

4.Connect your device to your PC via USB.

5.If you are using Windows, navigate to the extracted directory and execute “run.bat”. If you are using Linux or OS X, navigate to the extracted directory in a terminal and execute “./run.sh”.

6.Approve the ADB connection from your PC on your device.

If you are still confused on what to do, take a look at the XDA thread.

PS:If something wrong happens with your phone I am not responsible for that. Thanks
