If you have just gotten a brand new Realme 8, you might be wondering how to take a screenshot. Most Realme phones have the same or similar methods for taking screenshots. If you have used a Realme device before, you might be familiar with this article. If not, go ahead learn how to take a screenshot.

How To Take a Screenshot on the Realme 8

Realme has included three different methods that users can use to take a screenshot on the Realme 8. The first method, which is also the most popular one, is the traditional way of pressing two hardware keys at the same time. The two other methods include Realme’s own software to make it even easier.

1. Realme 8 Screenshot – Hardware Keys

The first method to take a screenshot on your Realme 8 is to use the physical keys located on the side of the phone. This is the traditional method that is used the most.

  1. Grab your phone and go to the screen that you want to screenshot.
  2. Press the power button and volume down button at the same time until a screenshot is taken
  3. The screenshot image will be saved in your phone’s gallery app, inside the Screenshots folder.

2. Realme 8 Screenshot – Three-finger gesture

If for some reason you don’t want to take a screenshot on the Realme 8 using the hardware keys, then you can use the three-finger gesture. This is a built-in functionality on Realme phones.

To enable the Three Fingers gesture, go to Settings -> Convenience Aid -> Gesture and motion. There will be an option called “3-Finger Screenshot”. Tap on it to select it. Now swipe three fingers down to take a screenshot. The phone will vibrate to indicate that the task has been accomplished.

3. Realme 8 Screenshot – Third-party apps

If for one reason or another you do not want to use any of the methods below, then you can download a third-party app from the Play Store which gives screenshot functionality. There are a number of good apps exactly for this. Before the built-in screenshot feature was a thing, users had to download an app from the Play Store if they wanted to take a screenshot on their phones.

Third-party apps have their own advantages, even though using the built-in methods is usually faster. With a custom app, you can customize the key combination, or add an overlay icon that will be always available to the user.

These are some ways you can take a screenshot of the Realme 8. It is nice of Realme to include a few software features to be able to take screenshots when the hardware buttons are broken. Do you have any other ways to take a screen capture? Let us know below.
