If you ask Android users right now about the phone they are the most excited about, it will surely be the Samsung Galaxy S7. Samsung sets new standards every year when the new flagship device gets released.
We have already heard that there will be four variants of the phone – Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Plus, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Plus. Users will have a hard time choosing which device to get when there are so many options to choose from. Besides being multiple variants of the Galaxy S7, Samsung has also announced that the phone will be released in a few months, probably somewhere in January or February, less than a year after the Galaxy S6.
Since the Samsung Galaxy S7 is just around the corner, first leaks of the phone have started to show up. According to a few images from a source from Weibo, we can already tell that the Galaxy S7 will be an improved version of the Galaxy S6 rather than a complete redesign. Well, there’s no reason to completely change the design considering how successful the aluminum and glass combo were.
According to the images, the Galaxy S7 will offer minor hardware changes compared to its predecessor. The bottom has less things going on as it only has a headphone jack and another port which is supposed to be the new USB Type C charging port. One thing to notice is that there are no signs of speaker holes at the bottom, which hints for a new speaker placement.
Besides these changes, the chassis of the Galaxy S7 appears to be very similar to the one of the Galaxy S6. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to come in a few months. It will feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the latest Exynos 8890 chipset.
