The Nexus 5 comes with a 2300 mAh battery. It doesn’t have the biggest battery especially when compared to the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4, but it is still very good nonetheless.
In the past, usually Nexus devices didn’t have very good battery lifes, especially the Nexus 4 which had a terrible battery consumption as it couldn’t last even for half a day with 2 hours of screen on time with normal usage. Maybe it is a problem with stock android or LG isn’t very good at producing good batteries.
Anyway, now LG is back with the Nexus 5 and it seems like it has fixed all the major problems and flaws the Nexus 4 had. This time, the Nexus 5 battery life seems to be good. According to real life tests and usages, the Nexus 5 managed to survive for 1 full day and 9 hours with 2 hours and 50 minutes of screen on time with normal to heavy usage.
There are still tests that have to be done in order to give a final result but so far the battery seems to be quite an improvement from the Nexus 4. Do you have a Nexus 5? How’s your battery life? Does it last long?
