Install Official Lollipop ROM on LG G2 With CloudyG2 ROM

CloudyG2 is one of the best custom ROMs available for the LG G2 at the moment. It is one of the few ROMs that has made it possible to give the full LG Lollipop firmware experience on this device. Users were very excited one month ago when LG release the official Lollipop firmware for the LG G3 because the company promised that the same update for the older variant would come immediately after.

As you know, this never happened and LG G2 users got stuck on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. While LG KitKat firmware is great, it cannot simply be compared to Lollipop. The later variant offer a long list of features that KitKat can get only through custom ROMs and mods.

If you want to enjoy stock Android 5.0 Lollipop experience on your LG G2, then you have to checkout BlissPop ROM, based on CyanogenMod 12. But in this article we are going to take a look at CloudyG2. This ROM, unlike CyanogenMod 12, is based on the official LG Lollipop firmware.

It includes all the applications and software features that LG has implemented. The user experience is very close to LG G3, so there is no point to upgrade if you don’t mind the QHD display. The ROM includes the stock kernel, SuperSu, root access and latest Google Apps (gapps).

CloudyG2 has some neat features like buttons combination, brightness and volume toggles, full lockscreen toggles, calling recorder software and Viper4Android audio mod. All bloat apps are removed for the best performance possible.
