How To Root & Unlock Asus Zenfone 2 Bootloader

Steps to unlock Zenfone 2 Bootloader

  1. Install ADB drivers for your Asus Zenfone 2.
  2. Open ADB Shell and enter “su” to verify root access on your phone.
  3. Now run the following command:
    getprop ro.isn > /factory/asuskey
  4. Now enter:
    reboot bootloader

Now the phone will go to recovery mode, updating the software and then it will reboot, displaying a white boot animation background. If the background is black, the phone still has a locked bootloader. Also, this method will not wipe data.
