Th Sprint variant of LG G3 with model number LS990 has received a firmware update with build number LS990ZVA. This is an Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update and users can update through OTA.

How To Root LG G3 (SL990) with LS990ZVA
First, make sure you are prepared. Enable USB Debugging and Developer Options, install USB and ADB drivers and download LG Root Script from below.
Download: LG Root Script v2.3.zip
- Extract the LG Root Script zip file. You will find a folder with various files and UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip.
- Connect your LG G3 to the PC.
- Double click on LG Root Script.bat file.
- A CMD window will appear searching for ADB and LG Serial Port.
- Follow all the instructions provided.
The phone will reboot and it will have have root and SuperSU access.
