About a week ago Apple released the fourth beta of iOS 8. It Brings a lot of improvements and bug fixes to the third beta update that was released about three weeks ago. The update is available as OTA and can be installed by clicking the update button on iOS. The interface has some modifications which makes the fourth beta feel faster and better.
iOS 8 fourth beta introduces many features. It has an improved integration with OS X through Continuity, Health app, interactive notifications panel, new quick type keyboard and improvements to the most used apps like Safari, Messages and Mail. It also has a redesigned Control Center and for the first time introduces a new app called Tips.
At first Tips app was hinted during WWDC and it came only in iOS beta 4. It helps iOS users to discover the features of the iOS and learn how to use it. Tips is like a simple tutorial which gives users a look of the features of iOS 8 and many other things they need to now about iOS and how to use it. At the same time Tips uses text, images and animations to tell users everything about iOS.
Tips has a simple interface, once you open it you will see the first tip. You can navigate through available contents by swiping. At the bottom of the screen is a menu which contains a list of all the available tips. You can share each tip via message, email or in social networks like Facebook and Twitter. You also can like any tip and so you give Apple information about which tip is popular.
For now there are only six different tips available. At the ending page it says “Check back for new tips every week”. You can also receive notifications when a new tip is available. Tips app is more for users that are not familiar with iOS operating system. It provide useful information to users on how to use the phone and new features. This app is installed by default and can’t be uninstalled.
