Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910C Receives Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OTA

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with model number SM-N910C. This is the Exynos variant of the phone and not the SM-N910C Snapdragon variant.

Samsung has been testing the Android 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy Note 4 for a while now and looks like it is ready for prime time. The Galaxy Note 4 is the third Samsung device to receive Android 5.1.1 after Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S6.

The update is not worldwide because only users in the Russian region are receiving the OTA update. As with every other over the air update, you can install the new firmware directly from your phone without having to use KIES.

Android 5.1.1 for Galaxy Note 4:

  • Baseband Version: N910CXXU1COFB
  • Build Number: LMY47X.N910CXXU1COGB

According to users who have received the update on their Galaxy Note 4’s, Android 5.1.1 does not bring the same software features as on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. There are no options to disable S Finder and Quick Settings shortcuts from the notification menu and no option to capture RAW images.

The official firmware file has not been captured yet. Once it gets captured, we will update the article with the right link to download the firmware so you can manually flash it on your phone so you do not have to wait for the OTA update, which sometimes can take weeks to reach your device.
