How To Enable WhatsApp Calling Feature Without Invitation (Root)

WhatsApp is one of the best and most popular applications not only for Android but even for other mobile platforms like iOS, Symbian and Windows Phone. Those days when people uses the stock messaging app to send text messages are long gone. Today, it is a loss of time and even money to send texts using the stock app, especially if you are not in a contract. In comparison, sending messages using applications like WhatsApp is free of charge.

You can send as many texts as you want for free. Well, the app requires you to have a stable internet connection but lets face it, who doesn’t have internet nowadays? Lately, the company has run out of ideas how to improve the messaging part of the app. We say the messaging part because the company announced a new beta program where users can join only with invitations to test and try out the upcoming calling feature of the app.

So, WhatsApp will not only be a messaging app in the future. People will use it to make phone calls too! But to ensure that this feature works well, there need to be testers first to test the app and check for problems. You can join the beta program only if you have an invitation. If you don’t have one, you are out out luck for as long as your phone is not rooted. If your phone is rooted and the firmware has root access, you can enable WhatsApp calling feature without invitation. You don’t even have to enjoy the beta program. The latest version of the app already includes the voice calling feature. It simply is not enabled. Fortunately, there is only one small thing you have to do to gain access to voice calling feature on the WhatsApp.
