Today a few people leaked images of the upcoming Moto G 3rd Generation, the successor of the 2014 Moto G (2nd Gen). According to the photos, the Moto G 3rd Generation will come with a new design and improved specifications. It will have a 5″ 720p HD display, 13 MP main camera and 5 MP front camera, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB of inbuilt storage, Snapdragon 401 chipset and a 2300 mAh battery.
Besides pictures and specifications of the phone, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware that the device will have has also been published. Since there is no need for the firmware itself, we took the time to download the firmware which is 707 MB in size, and extract some of its goodies, including wallpapers and ringtones.
As far as wallpapers go, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware on the Moto G 3rd Generation (XT1543) only has two wallpapers but plenty of system ringtones. The ringtone zip file of the Moto G 3rd Generation (2015) contains four folders: Alarms, Notifications, Ringtones and UI.
These are the only things that can be pulled at the moment. But with other leaks and releases, more software goodies such as applications and launchers will be published.
