Download Google Camera 6.1 APK With Night Sight on Pixel 3, Pixel 2 and Pixel [How To Install]

Smartphone cameras have gotten exceptionally good lately. You no longer need a DSLR to capture high-resolution pictures with that professional look to them. All you need now is a high-end (or even a mid-range smartphone) to take those high-quality pictures. Improving camera sensors and using software tweaks to add background blur to images has proven to be a successful strategy for many companies.

Now, Google has taken everything to another level. Google Pixel phones are known to have some of the best cameras on a smartphone. Thanks to Google’s software superiority, Pixel phones have advanced post-processing algorithms to make pictures look much better. The latest device from Google, the Pixel 3, can digitally zoom in pictures without losing too much resolution and quality.

Now, Google has introduced a camera mode for its Pixel devices called Night Sight. This mode changes the way we take pictures at night. Thanks to Night Sight, now you can take high-quality pictures during low-light situations. Pictures taken on the normal camera mode at night are very dark and most of the detail is lost. With Night Sight, it is as if the pictures are taken during the day. The images are bright and all the detail is there, even those that the human eye cannot detect.

How To Install Google Camera 6.1 & Enable Night Sight

Google has yet to officially enable this feature on its Pixel devices. This option is available on the latest Google Camera application version 6.1 but it is disabled by default. However, people have managed to enable this feature and you can use it right now.

Night Sight on the Google Camera works on the following Pixel devices: Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel and Pixel XL on Android 9.0 Pie and 8.0 Oreo.

If you have any of the devices mentioned above, go ahead and download the APK file from the download link.

  1. Download Google Camera 6.1 APK file and transfer it over to your phone. Tap on the file to install the app. If it doesn’t work, then enable “Unknown Sources”.
  2. Open the camera app. Swipe all the way to the right and tap the “More” button. From all the modes, tap on “Night”.
  3. Press the shutter button and wait a few seconds (usually 2-4 seconds).
  4. The picture will be saved on your phone’s gallery app.

If you open the camera app and it detects that you are in a low light environment, then it will automatically suggest switching to Night Sight. Enjoy the way you take pictures at night from now on.
