Change Launcher Screen Grid on Galaxy S6 & Note 5 To Fit More Icons

The TouchWiz launcher which comes on the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ and Note 5 is one of the most customizable launchers provided by a manufacturer. Other launchers from stock Android or other OEMs do not have as many customizing options as TouchWiz. Sure, you can try third-party launchers like Nova but you will loose the entire TouchWiz experience and feel.

Amongst being able to change wallpapers, add custom widgets and change the phone theme completely, you can even change the screen grid on your Galaxy S6 and Note 5.  Have you ever complained for the home screen being to small on your phone? On the Galaxy S6 you can have a maximum of 16 applications on a page on the home screen. If you want more space to fit more icons in one page, you need to change the screen grid size.

TouchWiz has a built-in option which allows you to easily change the screen grid size. This method works on all latest TouchWiz devices, including the Galaxy S6, Note 5 and more.

How to change TouchWiz screen grid size

  1. Take your phone and go to the home screen.
  2. Long press on an empty part of the screen to open launcher’s settings menu.
  3. On bottom right corner select ‘Screen Grid’.
  4. By default, the grid size is set to 4×4 but you can change it to 4×5 or 5×5 so you can have a maximum of 25 applications on the same page at the same time.

Increasing screen grid size on TouchWiz gives you the chance to add more icons and more widgets on a page.
