Xperia Z1 Compact: Why it is Better Than Other Minis

It is normal for manufacturers to relase a “Mini” version of their current flagship devices. Samsung has launched the Galaxy S4 Mini, HTC launched the One Mini and Sony launched the Xperia Z1 Compact. And usually they are slower and don’t have the high-end specs of their brothers. The Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini have worse specifications than the Galaxy S4 and HTC One.

The Xperia Z1 Compact however, is another story. Sony released this device as a mini version of the Xperia Z1 with a smaller screen and lower resolution. Unlike other minis, Z1 Compact has exactly the same specs as its brother.

It has a high-quality 20.7MP camera and latest Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. As expected though, since the screen is smaller so the resolution is HD. Still it has a respectable PPI of 342 pixels per inch.

As you can see, the Xperia Z1 Compact has all the specs it’s bigger brother has in a smaller form factor. Other popular minis that we listed above are slower in every dimension. That’s a big advantage for Sony.

Not all people like the size of the Z1 so they search for a smaller device with good specs and these handsets are not very popular in the Android world as most of high-end devices has a screen size of 4.7″ and bigger.

The only device which offers this is the iPhone 5S with a fast 64-Bit processor. However, the 4″ display this phone has might be a little too small for many people. That’s why the Z1 Compact with a perfect display size of 4.3″ for single handed operation is the ideal for everyone who wants a small phone with high build quality and big power.
