Stable CyanogenMod 11 ROM For Galaxy S5 Coming Soon

Stable AOSP CyanogenMod 11 custom ROM is coming soon for the Samsung Galaxy S5. Users who have a Samsung Galaxy S5 are waiting for months for a CyanogenMod 11 build release for their devices. CyanogenMod is the best custom ROM if you want to experience stock AOSP Android version.

The bad news is that even though the Galaxy S5 has been out for more than six months, no CM11 build has been released for this device. Other high-end Android devices like the HTC One M8 has already received the latest stable CyanogenMod 11 M9 release while the LG G3 is almost getting it. LG G3 AOSP ROM is almost finished and it is going through testing phase.

On the other side, there hasn’t been a lot of news and support for the Galaxy S5. The main reason is that a lot of units have Exynos octa-core processor and Samsung doesn’t release its source code. This makes it very difficult to create a custom ROM and especially an AOSP version.

But there is a very good news for all Galaxy S5 variants that have Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with Adreno 330 GPU. A stable version of CyanogenMod 11 Android 4.4.4 KitKat is coming very soon for all Snapdragon variants.

The build will of course have some bugs here and there but the most important core features will work without any problem. A developer has announced this good news today and apparently the ROM will be announced very soon. There are only a few bugs to fix like NFC and minor issues but it will be a daily driver for sure.
