Install MaxxAudio Mod on OnePlus One (APK & Libs)

OnePlus made a lot of noise as a company at the beginning of the last year with their first product, the OnePlus One. To that date, it was unseen for a company to release a flagship device with flagship specifications for the fraction of the price of other high-end phones. At that time, Google was trying hard to get a huge market share by selling the Nexus 5 for a low price. But the OnePlus One had much better specifications and a lower price tag than the Nexus 5.

At the end of last year, the company announced a partnership with Waves, the company responsible for the MaxxAudio app. This partnership would add the new app on the next update for the phone and users have still to receive it. Still, a user has managed to get its hands on the app and has posted it for all OnePlus One owners.

If you don’t know what MaxxAudio is, it is a package which brings audio enhancements to the OnePlus One. It produces deeper bass, clearer highs as well as increased audio volume. In other words, it will make you happy if you are that kind of person who loves music.

Install MaxxAudio APK and libs on OnePlus One

1. From the link above, you will download an archive file. Extract it and you will get two folders.
2. Copy MaxxAudioFX.apk and MaxxAudioFX.odex files and move them to System > Priv-app.
3. Then copy and move “libmaxxeffect-cembedded.so” file to System > Vendor > Lib > SoundFX.
4. Set the correct permissions and reboot your phone.

Once you reboot your phone and it turns on, you can easily access and launch the app from the app drawer. Enjoy better audio quality on your OnePlus One.
