A few days ago, users online released the first firmware build or ROM of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The ROM, being based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, didn’t really made users excited for the initial release of the firmware since everyone is waiting for Android 6.0 Nougat. However, the UI of the Note 7 is much more different from the TouchWiz UI of the Galaxy S7 and Note 5.
As we previously said, it was just a matter of time before seeing developers create and post the first custom ROM variants of the Note 7 firmware. A few developers have ported the Note 7 ROM to the aging Samsung Galaxy S5.
Pure Note 7 is a recent ROM maintained by “malbert16442”, and gives all Galaxy S5 owners the chance to test the all new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 experience. The Pure Note 7 ROM is based on the highly anticipated Grace UX of the Note 7. The ROM is fast, supports all Snapdragon variants of the Galaxy S5 SM-G900F, SM-G900K, SM-G900M and SM-G900W8 with the only exception being G900L.
The ROM is pure so it is very close to the Note 7 experience. It is deodexed, all apps are converted to 32bit and most importantly, the ROM is based on Note 7’s N930FXXU1APG7 firmware.

This ported ROM of the Galaxy Note 7 should only be installed on supported variants of the Galaxy S5. It works on every Galaxy S5 with a Snapdragon chipset besides G900L.

Download | Pure Note 7 v2.zip
Download the ROM which is around 1.2 GB big. Download it on your computer and transfer it on your phone’s internal memory. To flash the ROM, you need to have the latest version of TWRP recovery installed.
- Once you have transferred the ROM to the phone, turn the device off.
- Press the volume up, home and power keys to go into recovery mode.
- There, perform a full Nandroid backup in case something goes wrong.
- Then wipe cache, dalvik cache and wipe all data.
- Install the new Pure Note 7 ROM
Once the phone is done with the installation process, restart your phone. Enjoy a full Samsung Galaxy Note 7 experience on your Galaxy S5.
